Job summary

Virtu is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in New York to lead financial operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive process improvements. The role requires managing monthly closes, generating complex reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support electronic trading activities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience in financial services, strong Excel skills, and ERP proficiency. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CPA-in-progress preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to electronic trading or financial services.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Prior public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and financial operations with internal controls.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual close in line with GAAP.
• Perform variance analysis on revenue and expenses and report findings.
• Coordinate with auditors during financial and operational audits.
• Collaborate with developers to automate financial processes.
• Support electronic trading activities related financial reconciliations.
