This position is pivotal to our operations, tasked with overseeing financial processes, ensuring the precision of financial records, crafting intricate financial reports, and enhancing the firm's financial efficacy and adherence to regulations. The candidate should merge thorough GAAP expertise with advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems to streamline month-end closures and refine financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting and financial processes, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, regulatory mandates, internal controls, and company policies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to aid electronic trading operations, including settlement, clearing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in line with accounting standards.
• Perform detailed variance analysis, track key revenue and expense drivers, and compile monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, encompassing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures, collaborating with developers and other teams, to further automate and strengthen the firm's financial operations.
• Keep updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and developments in electronic trading platforms.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Certified Public Accountant (or working towards certification) preferred.
• Five years of accounting experience, with familiarity in electronic trading or financial services.
• Prior experience at public accounting firms is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
