Job summary

Cowlitz is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the Accounting Department in Longview, WA. You will ensure GAAP compliance, oversee budgeting, and drive timely financial reporting while mentoring accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five years progressive accounting experience with responsibility for centralized activity.
• Two-year supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop Accounting staff; plan, delegate, and monitor tasks.
• Prepare, review general ledger entries and financial statements.
• Coordinate with auditors; ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Oversee budgets, pro-formas, and re-forecasts with program managers.
• Ensure payroll, A/P, A/R activities are properly carried out.
