Job summary

AccountStaff Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller to lead financial reporting, GL management, and close processes in a fast-paced environment. You’ll support budgets, forecasts, and cash flow while ensuring GAAP compliance and coordinating audits.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and 3+ years of accounting experience, with strong analytical and communication skills to mentor junior staff and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis.
• Manage general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and fixed asset schedules.
• Assist with budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and cash flow reporting.
• Support audits by providing documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with other departments.
• Track construction assets cost allocations and depreciation.
