KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a Nashua, NH manufacturing company to place a Senior Accounting Consultant through the end of 2026. The role focuses on month-end and year-end closes, financial reporting, and audit preparation, including multi-entity accounting and SAP support.

The consultant will report to the Interim CFO and contribute to internal controls, policy improvements, and year-end priorities.

Qualifications

Senior-level accounting experience, ideally as Controller/Accounting Manager/Senior Accounting Consultant.
Manufacturing industry experience is required or highly preferred.
Strong hands-on experience with complex month-end/year-end closes and external audits.
Multi-entity accounting experience.
Experience with SAP is a plus for system support and optimization.

Responsibilities

Execute month-end and year-end close including accruals, prepaids, intercompany entries, and reconciliations.
Prepare and review complex journal entries involving fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany activity, and revenue recognition.
Support financial reporting and ensure records are audit-ready.
Oversee AP and AR activities, including aged receivables and invoice/payments issues.
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Assist with system implementations and identify workflow gaps; coordinate with external consultants.
Prepare schedules and documentation for external audit.
Research and resolve accounting and system-related issues.
Document and improve accounting policies and internal controls.
Collaborate with Interim CFO on year-end, audit, and other priorities.
