Qualifications

• Senior-level accounting experience, ideally as Controller/Accounting Manager/Senior Accounting Consultant.
• Manufacturing industry experience is required or highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with complex month-end/year-end closes and external audits.
• Multi-entity accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP is a plus for system support and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end and year-end close including accruals, prepaids, intercompany entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries involving fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany activity, and revenue recognition.
• Support financial reporting and ensure records are audit-ready.
• Oversee AP and AR activities, including aged receivables and invoice/payments issues.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with system implementations and identify workflow gaps; coordinate with external consultants.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external audit.
• Research and resolve accounting and system-related issues.
• Document and improve accounting policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Interim CFO on year-end, audit, and other priorities.

KBW has partnered with a manufacturing company in Nashua, NH seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Consultant to provide hands‑on, senior‑level accounting support through the end of 2026 and the company’s year‑end audit.

Reporting directly to the Interim CFO, this consultant will play a key role in the month‑end and year‑end close, financial reporting, audit preparation, multi‑entity accounting, and SAP support.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end close including accruals, prepaids, intercompany entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries involving fixed assets, depreciation, intercompany activity, and revenue recognition.
• Support financial reporting and ensure accounting records are accurate and audit‑ready.
• Oversee key AP and AR activities, including aged receivables, supplier inquiries, and invoice/payment issues.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers, including capital additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
• Support software implementation and optimization, including identifying system gaps, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with external consultants, and supporting users with updated workflows.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for the external audit.
• Research and resolve accounting and system‑related issues.
• Document and improve accounting policies and internal controls.
• Partner directly with the Interim CFO on year‑end, audit, and other accounting priorities.

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred.
• Senior‑level accounting experience, ideally as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accounting Consultant.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with complex month‑end/year‑end close and external audits.

Compensation: $55-85 per hour
