Job summary

Kiss Products in Port Washington, NY is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly close. You will post journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, analyze variances, and review GL activity across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with AP/AR, assist with intercompany reconciliations, and support internal/external audits while strengthening controls and improving workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience in a corporate environment.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger and month-end close processes.
  • Strong Excel skills with advanced functions (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
  • Review general ledger activity for accuracy and classification.
  • Conduct variance and trend analyses with explanations.
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities as needed.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and assist with audits.

Job Description Summary:The Senior Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly close process, with a focus on accuracy, timely completion, and effective account reconciliation.This position will independently handle assigned accounting areas, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and transaction review, while working closely with other Accounting team members and cross-functional departments to resolve issues and maintain accurate financial records.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple entities and high transaction volumes.
