Job summary

Timken is seeking an accounting professional to ensure financial statements are accurate, timely, and prepared in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The role covers the analysis of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows for assigned entities and business units.

You will perform month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations, and lead fixed asset accounting, including CIP monitoring and impairments. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 4+ years of experience; CPA/CMA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis (manufacturing experience a plus).
• CPA or CMA licenses preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with fluctuation analysis and explanations for variances.
• Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis per U.S. GAAP.
• Lead fixed asset accounting: capitalization, depreciation, retirements, transfers, impairments, CIP monitoring.
• Review capital projects/expenditures for compliance with capitalization policies and GAAP.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement in accounting standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, and project teams across domestic and international subsidiaries.
