Job summary

Pegasus Staffing Partners is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst for a private-equity-backed manufacturing client in Dallas, TX. This hybrid role (3 days in office) supports month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvements as the business scales.

You will collaborate with accounting leadership, manage journal entries and reconciliations, and contribute to the annual audit with external auditors. CPA progression and manufacturing experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience with a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm, preferably in external audit.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, and internal controls.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or inventory-related client experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial information with attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership in a growing, evolving organization.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review schedules for GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity, investigate variances, and communicate key findings to leadership.
• Research technical accounting matters and document conclusions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare schedules for the annual audit.
• Help improve accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Partner with operations and finance teams to understand business activity and resolve questions.
• Support special projects and acquisition-related accounting and integration activities.

About the Role

The Senior Accounting Analyst will support month-end close, financial reporting, technical accounting, and process improvement initiatives. This person will work closely with accounting and finance leadership to deliver accurate financial information, research accounting issues, and strengthen processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
• Prepare and review supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity, investigate variances, and communicate key findings to accounting and finance leadership.
• Research technical accounting matters and assist with documenting accounting conclusions and policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare schedules and documentation for the annual audit.
