About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, operational finance, and business partnering activities within a growing manufacturing organization. This role works closely with site leadership and finance teams to deliver actionable financial insights, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of financial analysis, accounting, and operational finance experience, along with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Financial Analysis
- Partner with operational leadership and finance teams to support growth initiatives and strategic business objectives
- Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making
- Analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational effectiveness
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics
- Prepare presentations and financial reports for leadership teams
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
- Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and financial reporting packages
- Assist with variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards
- Support implementation and adoption of new accounting guidance when required
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Partner with leadership teams to evaluate performance against financial plans
- Monitor revenue, operating expenses, and cash flow expectations
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Support internal controls and financial compliance initiatives
- Assist with audit requests, schedules, and supporting documentation
- Participate in inventory observation, cycle count, and reconciliation processes
- Help ensure financial transactions are properly supported and accurately recorded
Special Projects
- Support process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
- Participate in system and reporting enhancements
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of accounting, finance, FP&A, audit, or related experience
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively with both finance and operational teams
Preferred
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning/reporting tools
- Exposure to operational finance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, or business analysis
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
