Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a publicly traded, global manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role emphasizes month-end close, financial reporting, and cross-functional initiatives, while partnering with finance and operations leaders across the business.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement (Tuesday-Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote) with opportunities to contribute across the organization and to enhance technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
• Public accounting and/or large corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with large ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide insights.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and maintain general ledger integrity.
• Manage accounting for fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and key balance sheet accounts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial information.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.
• Support special projects and other corporate accounting initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their technical accounting experience within a large, complex organization. You'll play a key role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and cross-functional initiatives while partnering with finance and operations leaders across the business.
