Job summary

Orbiss is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage a portfolio of client accounts with a focus on end-to-end bookkeeping, financial reporting, and advisory services. You will ensure timely, accurate financial information in line with US GAAP and client deadlines.

The role emphasizes process improvement, intercompany reconciliation, and team mentorship within a work-from-home friendly environment. A background in public accounting and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
• Technical accounting expertise in bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and close procedures.
• US GAAP knowledge is a strong asset.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Oversee end-to-end accounting cycle including bookkeeping, closings, year-end statements, and compliance deadlines.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Perform variance analysis and KPI reporting to inform advisory insights.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure data integrity across accounts.
• Propose improvements to processes, controls, and technology tools.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and consolidation for multi‑entity structures.
• Collaborate with tax team to prepare tax-related schedules and compliance materials.
• Coach and review work of junior staff; onboard new team members.
