Job summary

Addison Group is partnering with a growing consulting firm in the Lynnwood, WA area to lead and expand its client accounting practice. You will oversee outsourced accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and advisory services for a portfolio of clients, while guiding a talented team to deliver scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in accounting leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA and/or public accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of accounting professionals supporting client accounting business.
• Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting service engagements for clients; be the main client contact.
• Ensure deliverables, deadlines, and expectations are met with high quality and accuracy.
• Review workpapers, reconciliations, and financial reporting for completeness and compliance.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and develop accounting staff to grow technical skills.
• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using cash and accrual methods.
• Perform and review monthly reconciliations, GL maintenance, and financial reporting processes.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and help clients improve financial processes.
• Build strong client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
• Identify opportunities to enhance client processes and expand service offerings.
• Contribute to team growth and practice development with leadership input.
• Work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.
