Job summary

Coda Search, a Stamford, CT-based venture capital-focused firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the corporate accounting team. The role focuses on month-end close, the general ledger, and supporting cash management and investment schedules across the group.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, solid US GAAP experience, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close and oversee balance sheet/income statement items.
• Manage the general ledger and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules and oversee investments.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting for US operations.
• Partner with the group on cash management activities.
• Assist with the annual audit documentation and schedules.

Coda Search is partnering with a prominent vencture capital group with offices located in Stamford, CT. This is a well-known firm that has a global presence with just under $10BN AUM. The team is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant on the corporate accounting team who will be responsible for managing the month-end close, GL, and assisting the wider team with cash management activities.

The team has great tenure across the group and has been known to promote people from within. The role gets great exposure across the group and has the opportunity to work with both domestic and international stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close overseeing various items on the balance sheet and income statement
• Manage the GL and reconcile any discrepancies
• Prepare schedules and oversee various investments
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the US operations
• Partner with the wider group overseeing various cash management activities
• Assist with the annual audit preparing any supporting documentation and schedules

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
• Strong US GAAP experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Prior experience in Financial Services a plus
