Resideo is seeking a Sr. Accountant for Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our Financial Reporting group in a dynamic environment.

You will contribute to the monthly close and external reporting, ensuring SEC and US GAAP compliance, drafting policies, and updating position papers as standards evolve. The role requires collaboration with multiple levels across the organization, supporting internal and external audits, and driving accounting excellence through strong internal

Qualifications

5+ years accounting/finance experience or equivalent public accounting experience.
3+ years experience with quarterly and annual SEC reports.
3+ years experience interpreting or implementing complex accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present potential solutions and alternative accounting approaches to meet business objectives.
Evaluate business situations and propose solutions; analyze impact and drive continuous improvement.
Research technical accounting matters and assist in preparing white papers.
Ensure compliance with SEC, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
Document disclosures for quarterly and annual filings (Forms 10-Q/10-K).
Develop accounting policies to drive standardization and internal controls.
Interpret and implement new accounting standards with business partners.
Proactively leverage AI-driven tools to streamline research and documentation.
Prepare accounting entries and close processes for monthly, quarterly, and year-end.
