Job summary

Resideo seeks a Sr. Accountant - Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to support monthly close, SEC reporting, and policy development. You will help implement accounting standards, maintain strong internal controls, and collaborate across teams to deliver accurate financial information.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, draft disclosures, and drive process improvements using AI-driven tools and automation. This role reports to the Sr.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting/finance experience or equivalent public accounting experience.
• 3+ years experience with quarterly and annual SEC reports.
• 3+ years experience interpreting or implementing complex accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present potential solutions and alternative accounting approaches in accordance with applicable regulations to meet underlying business objectives.
• Evaluate business situations and generate ideas for solutions; analyzes potential effects and selects appropriate solutions for continuous improvement.
• Research technical accounting matters and assist in preparing technical accounting white papers.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with SEC, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
• Assist with development of required disclosures for quarterly and annual Forms 10-Q/10-K.
• Present critical information to management and external auditors; collaborate with partners across organization.
• Develop accounting policies to drive standardization, data integrity and internal controls.
