Leoforce is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in a highly regulated insurance/financial services environment.

The role emphasizes applying U.S. GAAP, managing close processes, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and policies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in regulated industry preferred.
• Strong experience with financial reporting and month-end close.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and audit support.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of reporting schedules and documentation for management and external stakeholders.
• Research and apply GAAP and accounting guidance to reporting activities.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for variances.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Support regulatory and insurance-related financial reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Collaborate with other departments to obtain and validate financial information.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Support special projects and process improvements.
