Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting team. You will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the company and its affiliates, and support training for staff.

You will lead the annual audit, ensure GAAP compliance, and perform analyses to support reporting decisions. A CPA or CPA candidacy is required, with strong internal controls knowledge and public accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience with a minimum of two years in public accounting.
• Experience applying US GAAP-based technical accounting standards.
• Licensed CPA or CPA candidate.
• Knowledge of assessing internal controls over financial reporting is a plus.
• Experience with real estate development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages for management, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
• Lead the annual audit process, including the preparation and issuance of audited financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, debt covenant requirements, and financial reporting regulations through technical accounting research, disclosure reviews, and risk assessments.
• Perform financial analyses, including variance analysis and evaluation of significant transactions, to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
• Develop, document, and enhance financial reporting processes and internal controls to strengthen compliance, operational efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
