Job summary

Erickson Senior Living, headquartered in Baltimore, invites a Senior Accountant to join our Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting team. You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company and its affiliates, mentoring staff and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, audit coordination, and process improvements within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience with at least two years in public accounting.
• Experience applying US GAAP-based technical accounting standards.
• Licensed CPA or a CPA candidate.
• Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Previous experience with real estate development is preferred.
• Dynamics AX or other GL systems; Workiva is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for management and investor audiences.
• Prepare and review quarterly compliance deliverables, including financial statements, schedules, and debt covenant calculations.
• Develop and finalize audited financial statements, supporting the full audit process from draft to issuance.
• Perform variance analyses, risk assessments, and ensure GAAP disclosures are technically accurate.
• Manage the annual audit process.
• Contribute to development and implementation of financial operations processes and internal controls.
• Provide technical accounting research and assess impact of new accounting pronouncements and/or company transactions.
• Support documentation and evaluation of internal controls related to financial reporting and disclosures.
