American Health Staffing Group is hiring a Senior Accountant based in Edmond, Oklahoma. The role supports month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting with cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Payroll, Billing, and Operations.

You will prepare journal entries, build process improvements, and leverage Excel and ERP tools. In-office to start with hybrid flexibility after 90 days; CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
• Experience supporting month-end close and account reconciliation activities.
• Solid working knowledge of debits, credits, and journal entry mechanics.
• Experience preparing journal entries, financial schedules, and variance analyses.
• Comfortable with or open to learning AI tools as part of daily workflow.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the data preparation and reconciliation work behind rebate processing (client-facing communication stays with existing team members).
• Serve as a key point of support for accounting activity specific to the Trio/staffing side of the business.
