The Senior Accountant is a trusted accounting professional who ensures the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of the Services Division's accounting operations. Supporting a diverse portfolio that includes Property Services, Consolidated Landscape Services, Construction and Development, and the commercial landscape nursery, this role is responsible for maintaining sound accounting practices that provide reliable financial information and support the day-to-day operations of the division. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsible for leading the daily accounting functions of the Services Division, the Senior Accountant oversees the monthly accounting close process, ensuring the general ledger is complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position manages departmental billing, accounts payable, account reconciliations, subsidiary ledgers, tax compliance, journal entries, and financial reporting while maintaining effective internal controls that safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Working closely with operational leaders, the Senior Accountant supports the accounting needs of the division by strengthening accounting procedures, improving efficiencies, and ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions. Through exceptional accounting stewardship, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence, this role provides the accounting foundation that enables sound business operations, supports informed decision-making, and contributes to an exceptional experience for guests, members, and team members alike.
