Sea Island Company seeks an Accounting Associate to learn fundamentals across treasury management, monthly close, general ledger administration, resort and member billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and FP&A.
You will support month-end close, process vendor invoices, maintain vendor records, assist with billing, and help with audit preparation while analyzing data in accounting software to enhance operational efficiency.

The Accounting Associate plays an essential role in supporting the financial operations of the organization while contributing to a seamless and elevated experience for guests, members, and internal teams. This position assists with month-end close activities including the preparation and processing of journal entries, reconciliation of sub-ledger and general ledger accounts, and maintenance of accurate financial records across multiple accounting functions. The Accounting Associate supports accounts payable processes through the timely and accurate processing of authorized vendor invoices and maintenance of vendor records, while also assisting with member, guest, and group billing activities within the accounts receivable cycle to help ensure accurate, efficient, and service-oriented financial transactions. Serving as a responsive and professional resource for vendors, guests, members, and team members, this role researches and resolves discrepancies with care, urgency, and attention to detail. The Accounting Associate develops strong working knowledge of operational and financial software platforms to analyze data, support reporting needs, and enhance operational efficiency, while also assisting with audit preparation, financial schedules, and special projects as assigned.
