Job summary

TrovaTal, a growing SaaS technology company, is seeking a Senior Accountant in Boston, MA with a hybrid work arrangement. You will report to the Assistant Controller and be responsible for accurate financial reporting and analysis as the company scales.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of corporate accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, US GAAP knowledge, and a CPA is a plus. You will collaborate with auditors and cross-functional teams on forecasts, budgets, and new revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3–5 years corporate accounting experience, preferably in SaaS/tech.
• CPA certification or public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement review.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for management decisions.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on accounting for new revenue streams and contracts.
• Support annual audit process with external auditors.

Position Overview:

The company is actively searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their expanding team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for the company. Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making
• Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for new revenue streams, customer contracts, and business initiatives
• Collaborate with external auditors to support the annual audit process and address any audit inquiries or findings
• Review and streamline accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Stay current with accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology-focused company
• CPA certification or experience working for a public accounting firm is preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

Compensation:

• Competitive salary range based on experience ($90,000 - $110,000)
