Job summary

The Senior Accountant – Proprietary Reporting & Analysis at IHDA supports financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting. The role analyzes general ledger accounts, reconciles data, reviews journal entries, and assists with month-end and annual close activities.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, and strong Excel skills. IHDA offers a hybrid work arrangement and a path for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 4–6 years of experience in general accounting with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Master’s in Accountancy, or MBA preferred.
• Solid communication skills with attention to detail; strong Excel skills.
• Experience with multiple subledgers is a plus.
• CPA accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely monthly reconciliations of assigned GL accounts and related journal entries.
• Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile CAMRA, GL and cash transactions and implement cash management module as needed.
• Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules; file quarterly reports with the State Comptroller.
• Prepare audit schedules and year-end PBAs to support audits and compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, policies, and daily cash activity posting to the GL.
