Job summary

The Illinois Housing Development Authority in Chicago is seeking a Senior Accountant – Proprietary Reporting & Analysis. This individual will provide support in financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting, handling tasks such as analyzing accounts and preparing financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 4-6 years of general accounting experience. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in general accounting with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Accreditation such as CPA is a plus.
• Experience working with multiple subledgers outside of the general ledger is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts.
• Support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
• Assist in the development and administration of accounting policies and procedures.
