Job summary

Hi-Altitude Brands seeks a Senior Accountant to own the monthly close, reconciliations, and management reporting as we scale. This fully remote role collaborates with Operations and executive leadership and offers a clear growth path toward Assistant Controller.

The position reports to the Controller and requires hands-on accounting, GAAP expertise, and ERP/Excel proficiency in a fast-growing DTC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including direct ownership of month-end close and reconciliations.
• Strong GAAP and technical accounting fundamentals, including revenue recognition and inventory costing.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software or an ERP, and advanced Excel skills.
• Comfortable owning both hands-on transactional work (AP/AR, invoicing) and higher-level reconciliation, reporting, and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own balance sheet reconciliations end to end on a documented close checklist.
• Tie out accruals, prepaids, and deferred revenue and prepare related journal entries.
• Shorten the month-end close cycle and document every step.
• Run AP/AR processing, invoicing, and day-to-day transactional accounting.
• Prepare the monthly management reporting package and build KPI/variance reporting.
