Job summary

Marek Health is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This remote, full-time role offers a clear path toward a Controller position within 2–3 years, with mentorship from the current Controller and increasing ownership of the close process and financial reporting.

You will partner with outsourced accounting, bring more in-house analysis, handle GAAP revenue treatment, intercompany transactions, and process improvements as the company scales, with strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in healthcare.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with MSO structures and related accounting considerations.
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct for GL and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review intercompany transactions and ensure proper revenue flows between entities.
• Support MSO-PC reporting and compliance functions.
• Analyze revenue transactions for GAAP treatment and identify system improvements for revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with outsourced accounting to maintain reconciliations and controls.
• Contribute to budgeting/forecasting and variance analysis.
• Assist external audits and tax preparation as primary liaison.
