Equip Health is a fully remote, fast-growing healthcare startup seeking a Senior Accountant to own accounting process excellence. You will report to the Controller and collaborate across the finance team to build scalable processes, improve controls, and support audits and tax filings.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA, and strong GAAP and ERP skills (Netsuite). This role offers substantial growth, a broad scope across the finance organization, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to complex close cycles.
• CPA license.
• Strong proficiency with GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, Netsuite and G-suite.
• Experience with multi-entity operations or healthcare accounting processes and procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsabilités

• Prepare month-end and year-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and support preparation of financial statements.
• Conduct technical accounting research and documentation to support policies and procedures and significant transactions.
• Maintain internal controls, documentation, and compliance procedures for audit readiness.
• Perform monthly due diligence reporting to validate financial statement fluctuations.
• Support the Controller to complete annual financial statement audits with auditors and external consultants as needed.
• Gather and organize data for external tax professionals to support Federal, State, and local tax filings.
• Support reporting and ad hoc analyses, as necessary.
• Provide accounting support for system implementations, data integrity testing and integrations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency with automation and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
