Flashfood is hiring a senior accountant to own the month-end close, manage NetSuite GL, and oversee cash and tax filings across the US/Canada. The role emphasizes process improvements and collaboration with the finance team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years accounting experience in a corporate setting.
• Solid knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE) and/or US GAAP/IFRS.
• Experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process end-to-end: journal entries & reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts in NetSuite.
• Manage cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and vendor payments.
• Prepare sales tax filings for US/Canada and support audits.
• Lead process improvements to scale accounting workflows and reporting.
