Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. in Pasadena is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate joint ventures and provide meaningful financial insights to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and collaborates across cross-functional teams. CPA preferred with experience in real estate accounting and public company settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing financial statements and GL activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate joint venture properties.
• Analyze monthly property-level income statements and balance sheets; identify key drivers.
• Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers; ensure timely financial reporting.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare joint venture reporting packages for executives and partners.
• Assist with debt compliance packages and coordination with external auditors.
