Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GL accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• CPA preferred.
• Biotechnology, life sciences, CMC or R&D accrual experience preferred.
• Experience supporting system implementations, workflow automation, data validation, or AI-enabled tools is a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite required; Prendio/Coupa/Expensify beneficial.
• Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage general accounting areas such as R&D and CMC accruals and other liabilities.
• Support financial reporting activities while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and policies.
• Prepare related journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, supporting schedules, and flux analyses.
• Collaborate with other functions to gather inputs for monthly accruals.
• Analyze financial results, account activity, and balance sheet reconciliations; resolve issues.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Help drafting accounting policies and SOPs and keep them current.
• Use AI, automation and process improvements to strengthen financial reporting and controls.
