Job summary

W3Global is seeking a meticulous bookkeeper/accountant to manage monthly and quarterly accounting for multiple small-business clients in Kentucky. You will maintain client records in QuickBooks Online, reconcile accounts, and prepare balance sheets and P&L statements.

The role requires five+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. You will support payroll and compliance tasks, interact directly with clients, and coordinate with tax

Qualifications

  • At least five years of professional accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong understanding of general-ledger accounting and financial statements.
  • Demonstrated experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, AP, and AR.
  • Experience preparing accurate balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements.
  • Ability to identify and correct bookkeeping and accounting problems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and maintain close attention to detail.
  • Professional judgment and commitment to protecting confidential client information.
  • Comfortable communicating directly with small-business owners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly and quarterly accounting for multiple small-business clients.
  • Maintain and review client records in QuickBooks Online.
  • Reconcile bank, credit-card, loan, payroll, and balance-sheet accounts.
  • Review and properly classify income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity transactions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and general-ledger activity.
  • Manage or oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare accurate balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Complete catch-up bookkeeping, historical-record cleanup, and QuickBooks reconstruction projects.
  • Identify errors, discrepancies, and unusual transactions and recommend appropriate corrections.
  • Assist clients with accounting processes, internal controls, and QuickBooks questions.
  • Coordinate with the firm's tax professionals to ensure client records are complete and tax-ready.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve questions, and explain financial results.
  • Manage multiple client deadlines while maintaining accurate documentation and workpapers.
  • Support payroll and other accounting-related compliance work as needed.
