Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team in Dallas, TX. This role offers a path to move from public accounting into a corporate environment while tackling complex accounting matters and high-impact financial initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably from a Big 4 or large national firm, with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and technical accounting. CPA is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally from public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA designation or active progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and technical accounting.
• Experience with external audit, SOX, and financial reporting improvements preferred.
• Exposure to acquisitions, debt/equity transactions, or stock-based compensation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP/financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and disclosures.
• Support acquisitions, debt/ equity transactions, and stock-based compensation.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve accounting policies and reporting processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and respond to audit requests.
• Help strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
