Job summary

Abacus Group's client, a premier luxury home-staging and designer-furniture rental company, seeks a Senior Accountant to join its Secaucus, NJ office. You will lead close processes, automate financial workflows with Power BI, and ensure GL integrity.

You will prepare variance analyses for FP&A, support audits and tax filings, manage fixed assets and intercompany activity, and collaborate across teams to improve efficiency while complying with GAAP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, accruals, and financial statement prep.
• Excel proficiency required; Power BI experience a must.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Tech-savvy; experience with system implementations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Automate workflows using Power BI and other tools.
• Prepare variance analyses for FP&A and leadership.
• Support audits and tax filings with schedules and information.
• Maintain GL integrity and manage fixed assets, intercompany activity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for JV entities per GAAP.
