Job summary

Abacus Group's client, a premier luxury home-staging and designer-furniture rental company, seeks a Senior Accountant to join its Secaucus, NJ office. You will lead close processes, automate financial workflows with Power BI, and ensure GL integrity.

You will prepare variance analyses for FP&A, support audits and tax filings, manage fixed assets and intercompany activity, and collaborate across teams to improve efficiency while complying with GAAP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, accruals, and financial statement prep.
• Excel proficiency required; Power BI experience a must.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Tech-savvy; experience with system implementations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Automate workflows using Power BI and other tools.

Our client is a premier luxury home-staging and designer-furniture rental company. They seek a Senior Accountant to join their Secaucus, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Automate financial workflows leveraging tools like Power BI
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, allocations, taxes, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger integrity and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare variance analyses to provide insights for FP&A and leadership teams
• Support annual external audits and tax filings through schedules and requested information
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Drive process improvements and efficiency gains across financial operations
• Develop and maintain monthly financial statements for joint venture entities in accordance with GAAP
• Manage fixed asset activity, prepaid expenses, accruals, intercompany interest, and related accounting entries
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses, projects, and administrative accounting duties as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with month-end close, accruals, and financial statement prep
• Tech-savvy and familiar with system implementations is a plus
