Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong month-end close experience.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, reconciliations, AR, and fixed assets.
• Ability to own accounting processes independently.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
• Remote work experience preferred.
• Comfort with AI tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Senior Accountant supporting recurring accounting operations and month-end close activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding reconciling items.
• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Own and execute established accounting processes from start to finish.
• Support account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation activities.
• Assist with accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Update and maintain accounting workpapers, schedules, and supporting files.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Excel to support daily accounting functions.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and leverage technology to increase efficiency.
• Communicate proactively regarding issues, discrepancies, and process recommendations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of accounting responsibilities.
• Support monthly and quarterly close deliverables as needed.
