Goodwin Recruiting seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for multiple client accounts in a fully remote setting. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of full-cycle accounting, advanced QuickBooks Online and Excel skills, and experience handling multi-entity, multi-location operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle cash and accrual accounting experience.
• Experience managing accounting and bookkeeping for multi-entity and multi-location businesses.
• Knowledge of cost of goods sold (COGS) and related accounting practices.
• Prior experience supporting home services or trade-based businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, pest control).
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with billable hours and time tracking.
• Familiarity with the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Strong transactional accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Oversee daily transactions including A/R, A/P, sales, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements monthly.
• Maintain balance sheet accounts including petty cash, payroll liabilities, and loans.
• Process and record client payroll.
• Complete month-end closing procedures and prepare financial statements.
• Support tax compliance by gathering documentation and assisting with tax preparation.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, and process management skills. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze results, and provide actionable recommendations to clients.
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, cash receipts, and disbursements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly position equivalent to an annual salary of $73,000–$77,000.
