Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of GAAP accounting experience, with 3 years at a professional services or similar firm.
• Detail-oriented and accurate with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain accounting matters clearly to non-accounting colleagues.
• Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own core accounting operations for two related companies, including accounts payable, cash receipts, deposits, interbank transfers, payroll entries, expense reimbursements, and vendor file maintenance.
• Oversee bi-monthly payroll processing, including review and timely submission.
• Drive accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare financial reporting packages for management, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and supporting analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis by helping identify trends, questions, and follow-up items.
• Own key revenue and billing support processes, including review of billing data, analysis of billing changes, and preparation of related journal entries.
• Support annual audit, tax, 1099, compensation, and other recurring finance processes with organized schedules, accurate data, and strong follow-through.
• Serve as a resource to employees on finance-related processes, including expense reports, payroll-related items, and onboarding support.
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes, strengthen controls, reduce manual work, and use technology, automation, and AI tools responsibly to improve accuracy and efficiency
