Job summary

Auto Driveaway is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the onsite finance team in Lombard, IL. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and cross-functional collaboration across Treasury, payroll, and fixed assets.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and proficiency with NetSuite or QuickBooks and Excel. CPA is a plus; will contribute to month-end close and KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA with strong experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Experience supporting month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, treasury, and operational accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational accounting activities across Treasury, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and other subledgers.
• Ensure subledgers reconcile to the General Ledger monthly.
• Maintain strong ownership of accounting accuracy across processes.
• Manage Treasury operations, fixed assets, and procure to pay (P2P).
• Generate monthly accruals and monitor prepaid balances.
• Create monthly journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
• Monitor and clear aged accounts payable and intercompany transactions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive process improvements.
• Support finance transformation and system enhancements.
• Develop and publish SOPs and KPIs for management use.
