Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in New Haven, CT seeks a Senior Accountant to join the finance team. The role covers day-to-day accounting, month-end close support, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy of results.

You will work with business partners, support audits, intergroup activities, fixed assets, leases, and consolidation using OneStream. The position sits onsite in New Haven and requires a strong accounting foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Strong foundation in accruals, reconciliations, balance sheet analysis.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP and consolidation/reporting systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, OneStream, Hyperion, Power BI, or Business Objects).
• Strong MS Excel skills, including lookups and pivots.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting and journal entries.
• Support month-end close and reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet accounts and resolve variances.
• Support external audits with documentation.
• Manage intergroup billing and loan accounting.
• Handle fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Prepare lease accounting and reporting.
• Utilize OneStream for consolidation and reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes.
