Job summary

The Senior Accountant at PURPOSE. DIGNITY. ACTION. (PDA) joins a fast‑paced nonprofit Finance Team, supporting complex accounting duties, grant/contract coding, and general ledger management under the Director of Finance.

You will help ensure compliance, assist audits and budgeting, and contribute to internal controls within a collaborative culture in Seattle. Strong nonprofit accounting and Medicaid billing exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting practices and close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting or government/grant reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex accounting duties and ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements.
• Maintain the general ledger and allocate income/expenses to programs.
• Assist with audits, budgeting, and monthly/annual reporting.
