Job summary

Realberry is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the close process for multifamily and land development entities. You will reconcile bank statements, maintain cashflow forecasts, and prepare GAAP financial statements for internal and external reporting.

The role collaborates with third-party managers and internal teams to ensure accuracy. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting with 3–5 years of related experience; CPA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 3–5 years of relevant experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Experience in multifamily and land development accounting preferred.
• CPA designation desirable for advancement.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; intermediate Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly close process for assigned entities and explain variances.
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare GAAP financial statements for internal and external reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset records and review invoices for payment.
• Manage cash balances and debt service payments; prepare annual budgets.
• Track equity activity and perform distributions/contributions; support land development costs.
