Job summary

A leading industrial services company located in Ohio seeks a Senior Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will manage the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, and maintain balance sheet accounts. Candidates should possess over 5 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in multi-site/state environments. This role offers a chance to improve financial processes and engage with internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in industrial services, construction, manufacturing, or asset-heavy environments.
• Experience with project accounting or multi-entity structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reclassifications.
• Maintain full ownership of assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity, including proper cutoff, classification, and valuation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and audit support.
