The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, with primary ownership of balance sheet accounts and the month-end close process. This role supports operational and financial decision-making in a project- and asset-intensive industrial services environment and serves as a key liaison between accounting, operations, and finance leadership.
The ideal candidate will posses strong experience with multi-site/state/division accounting experience along with owning full profit and loss statement process.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reclassifications
- Maintain full ownership of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Ensure balance sheet integrity, including proper cutoff, classification, and valuation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and audit support
- Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in industrial services, construction, manufacturing, or asset-heavy environments
- Experience with multi-site/state/division accounting
- Experience with project accounting, or multi-entity structures
