Job summary

Broadway Direct is seeking an experienced accountant to manage financial activities for assigned markets. Responsibilities include daily cash reconciliations, month-end closes, journal entries, and supporting tax filings, with tight controls and accuracy.

You will collaborate with Operations, Ticketing, Settlements, and other departments to ensure timely financial reporting and compliance, while assisting CAO with monthly reporting packages.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficient with general ledger systems and internal controls.
• Ability to analyze variances and research discrepancies.
• Excellent collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary accountant for assigned markets.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Perform general accounting activities and ensure the integrity of financial data for assigned entities.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations for assigned markets.
• Reconcile ticketing systems, merchant processors, bank activity, and the general ledger.
• Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized and complete supporting documentation for all reconciliations.
• Review and post Accounts Payable invoices for assigned markets prior to posting.
• Complete month-end close activities for assigned markets.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Ensure all month-end deadlines are met accurately and on schedule.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audit requests.
• Assist with sales tax, amusement tax, and other tax reporting and filing requirements.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Assist with special projects and financial analyses as assigned.
• Assist CAO in preparing monthly financial reporting packages for assigned markets.
• Analyze account activity and investigate significant variances.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports as requested by supervisor.
