Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this role will contribute to maintaining the general ledger, executing month-end close, and show-level accounting across our portfolio of productions. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow in a dynamic, multi-entity entertainment environment working within a NetSuite ERP system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the corporate and show-level entities.
  • Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, accruals, and supporting schedules for show-level and corporate performance reporting.
  • Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and attention to detail, including data entry and recordkeeping within NetSuite.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, flagging and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support external auditors and tax advisors by preparing audit schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to information requests.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the finance function, including NetSuite optimization and the transition away from legacy manual workflows.
  • Collaborate with senior finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely financial information.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity, project-based, or entertainment/live events environment
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles (GAAP), month-end close procedures, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with senior finance leaders and external partners.
  • Genuine interest in the theater or live entertainment industry and a desire to understand show and corporate economics.
  • Commitment to primarily on-site work in our New York City office (near 53rd & Broadway), 4–5 days per week (typically Monday–Thursday in office, with Friday flexible), as well as maintaining the flexibility to support seasonal finance demands during audit, budgeting, and other critical deadlines.
