Job summary

Ebs Recruiters LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting team with full-cycle accounts payable, month-end close, and financial reporting accuracy. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
• Familiarity with Avalara, Sovos, or similar sales tax software is a plus
• Knowledge of state sales tax regulations and filing requirements
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines with excellence

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file state sales tax returns and respond to inquiries
• Coordinate business licensing and regulatory compliance
• Support external financial and tax audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Prepare and analyze financial schedules and supporting documentation
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Verify and reconcile corporate credit card transactions
• Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries
• Maintain fixed asset records and support asset tracking
• Support cash management activities including ACH and wire processing
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting
• Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and large data sets in Excel
• Prepare supplemental financial reports and analyses for management
• Assist in improving reporting processes and data accuracy
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve workflows and reporting efficiency
