Job summary

Century Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract engagement to support the finance team.

You will prepare journal entries, lead month-end close, perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis, and assist with financial statements, reporting requirements, and audit support. Strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead month end and year end close activities while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and variance reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, reporting requirements, and audit support activities.
• Identify process improvements and support initiatives that enhance accounting efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
