Job summary

Century Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract engagement to support the finance team.

You will prepare journal entries, lead month-end close, perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis, and assist with financial statements, reporting requirements, and audit support. Strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountto assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Lead month end and year end close activities while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and variance reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Assist with financial statement preparation, reporting requirements, and audit support activities.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.

Previous experience working with ERP systems and accounting software platforms.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.

Qualifications:

CPA credential preferred.
