Job summary

Motive seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting as the company scales. You will report into the Accounting Manager and take ownership of accounting activities, close processes, reconciliations, and cross-functional projects that support the department’s objectives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience with GL and month-end close.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system.
• CPA certification or public accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Own accounting processes across assigned areas and ensure proper recording per US GAAP.
• Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, controls, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Legal, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Support internal and external audits and cross-functional projects.
